Some sketches from class – we were assigned to sketch 2 each of a rectangle, circle, triangle and natural shape – with the restriction that all items had to be below knee level.

Watercolour 2: magazine covers
For this exercise, we were given a magazine cover template and a selection of vector art, then asked to create a variety of watercolour washes to complement a cover. I wasn’t super impressed with the results at first, but it’s remarkable what some strategic cropping can yield despite my neophytic foibles. Cold colour wash:

So, here’s the first thing I’ve produced for DMA179 – a demented bunny. I’m not particularly proud of it, but I’m here to learn, right?
